May Healthcare Update 2022

In our second edition of our Monthly Healthcare Update, we will recount the events and activities within AA Euro Healthcare and the healthcare industry as a whole over the past month, examing the most recent trends and highlighting our latest job vacancies.

Healthcare Update

Summer is here and the Healthcare sector is as busy as ever with continued demands and pressures being placed on healthcare facilities across Ireland and Europe following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions in recent months.

The healthcare sector is in dire need of assistance to stay afloat amidst chronic staff shortages and a lack of funding resulting in pent-up demand for almost all sectors which is keeping our recruiters busy over recent months.

Here is our May Healthcare Update 2022:

  • Despite continuous staff shortages across the healthcare sector in Ireland throughout 2021, there were still over 17.5 million hours of home care provided to those in need.
  • Tànaiste, Leo Varadkar, has called on the Irish government to increase its current level of healthcare spending of €22 billion in the coming years to sustain post-pandemic growth.
  • Students who are carefully considering their CAO application choices should give the Healthcare sector extra thought with encouraging future levels of job prospects predicted.
  • Our Recruitment Specialist, Ciara Murphy, gave us her recruitment insights for the healthcare sector as well as introducing us to how she began her career in recruitment. Learn more here.
  • We are currently recruiting for a wide range of Healthcare Vacancies across Ireland with a number of critical benefits on offer for the right candidates. See our current vacancies here.
