AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of a progressive residential service provider for a Permanent Social Care Leader role in the Carlow area. This is a child service specifically designed to support children under 12 years of age within a mainstream residential setting, with a strong focus on maintaining sibling placements in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a service that prioritises family connection, stability, and individualised care, supporting children with complex needs to achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will take a key leadership role within the team, supporting the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in delivering high-quality, child-centred care aligned with HIQA standards and best practice
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 7 degree qualification in Social Care or a related discipline(e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Youth & Community Work
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience working with children/young people
- Experience supporting children with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
- Strong understanding of child development and attachment-informed practice
- Knowledge of HIQA standards for childrens residential services
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Full clean manual driving licence (essential)
Desirable:
- Experience working with younger children (under 12s) in residential or similar settings
- Training in MAPA/CPI and trauma-informed care approaches
- Experience supporting sibling groups or family-based placements
