AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Agency Social Care Workers to supply relief staff to one of our HSE clients based in Kilkenny and surrounding areas.
We are currently building a strong bank of agency staff to support established Intellectual Disability services across both residential and community-based settings. This is a flexible agency opportunity offering relief shifts within structured and professional environments, supporting individuals to achieve independence, dignity, social inclusion, and meaningful daily living outcomes.
Shift Information
- 12-hour day shifts
- 12-hour night shifts
- Flexible agency relief work available across multiple services
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support within residential and community settings
- Support individuals who may present with challenging behaviour
- Promote independence, inclusion, and community participation
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding procedures, and organisational policies
- Maintain accurate records and professional boundaries
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Support individuals with daily living skills, wellbeing, and personal development
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 7 Degree in Applied Social Studies, Social Care, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience within Intellectual Disability services and/or supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge
- Working knowledge of HIQA standards, policies, and procedures
- CORU registration applied for or in progress is essential
- Working knowledge of Children First guidelines and safeguarding procedures
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Full driving licence and access to own transport is essential
- Eligibility to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
