What You`ll Do
- Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Support mobility, nutrition, hygiene and overall wellbeing.
- Promote dignity, privacy and person-centred care.
- Observe and report changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain a safe and clean healthcare environment.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Follow HSE policies, infection control and health & safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Full QQI Level 5 Major Award (120 credits/8 modules) in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Community Care, Health Service Skills or Community Health Services, or another relevant qualification meeting the requirements of the post.
- Relevant experience providing direct patient care within a healthcare setting.
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Garda Vetting or willingness to complete.
- Three satisfactory employment references.
- Current Manual/Patient Handling and CPR training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and healthcare environments
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport are highly desirable, as shifts may be located in rural areas with limited public transport
