AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) for a permanent full-time position within a well-established service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Care professional looking to progress into, or continue within, a leadership and management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational management of the Service.
- Lead, supervise and support the staff team in delivering high-quality care and support.
- Promote a person-centred and rights-based approach across the service.
- Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and participate meaningfully within their communities.
- Ensure services are delivered in line with New Directions and relevant national standards.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice and independence.
- Maintain high standards of governance, documentation and quality assurance.
- Develop positive working relationships with individuals, families, advocates and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Support staff development, supervision and performance.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Social Care or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- CORU registration/eligibility, where applicable.
- A minimum of 3 years` relevant experience within Social Care/disability services.
- Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
- Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of person-centred and rights-based practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of New Directions, safeguarding and quality standards.
- A full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
