AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting qualified and experienced Relief Social Care Workers to supply agency staff to residential and community-based services in Offaly.
The successful candidate will support children and/or young people within an Intellectual disability residential environment, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with regulatory standards and best practice frameworks.
This is a flexible agency opportunity suited to professionals seeking relief shifts while gaining experience within established services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support within residential settings
- Implement individual care plans and support behavioural management strategies
- Promote a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Build positive and professional relationships with service users
- Support educational, social, and recreational activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary planning where required
- Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and risk management procedures
- Work flexibly across rostered shifts, including evenings and weekends
Essential Criteria
- QQI Level 7 degree or higher in Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Youth & Community Work, or a related discipline
- HSEland and external training in First Aid, Children First, Safeguarding etc.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or mental health services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster, including nights and weekends
- Good written and IT skills for accurate record keeping
- Legal right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
