AA Euro Healthcare is seeking qualified and experienced Relief Social Care Workers to join one of our HSE clients based in East Cork areas including Youghal.
You will support individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in residential and community-based settings, promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful daily living.
Shifts will consist of days and nights only.
Applicants must have:
- Minimum Level 7 Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care
- Minimum 1 year, experience working within an Intellectual Disability/Mental Health
- Must have applied or in process of CORU registration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting
- Ideally would need to have a full driving licence or willing to take public transport
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant Health Act Regulations, HIQA Standards and all other relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to service users in daily living, community participation, and social activities.
- Assist in implementing individual care plans and behavioural support strategies.
- Support service users with personal care where required.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation in line with organisational and HIQA requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
