AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting experienced Social Care Assistants for flexible agency opportunities across Laois and surrounding areas.
We have a range of relief, short-term and ongoing assignments available within residential, respite, day and community-based services. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and dependable candidates who want to gain experience across different services while choosing shifts that suit their availability.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans.
- Assist service users with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice, inclusion and wellbeing.
- Support participation in recreational, social and community activities.
- Assist service users in working towards their individual goals.
- Observe and report changes in service users needs or wellbeing.
- Complete care records and other required documentation accurately.
- Work effectively with social care, nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Follow HSE policies, HIQA standards, safeguarding procedures and infection-control requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Full QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Applied Social Care Studies, Nursing Studies, Health Service Skills or Community Health Services.
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
- 3 x satisfactory references.
- Current Manual Handling and CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, reliable and person-centred approach.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport are highly desirable, as shifts may be located in rural areas with limited public transport.
