AA Euro Healthcare are currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Relief Social Care Workers to join our agency panel supporting residential and community-based services in Wicklow and surrounding areas.
These services support vulnerable adults and young people with a range of support needs, with a strong emphasis on person-centred care, community participation, and social inclusion.
As a Social Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals, maximise their independence, and develop meaningful roles within their homes and local communities. You will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality support that promotes dignity, choice, and positive outcomes.
This is a relief agency position, offering flexible working arrangements with a variety of shifts available, including day shifts, sleepovers, weekends, and other unsociable hours.
Essential Requirements
- Hold a QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or an equivalent qualification recognised in Ireland
- Be registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU (evidence required)
- A genuine passion for promoting independence and empowering the individuals they support
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A good understanding of HIQA regulations, standards, and person-centred practice
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT, administration, and report writing abilities
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a creative approach to supporting individuals
- The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- A full clean driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles
- Flexibility to work a variety of rostered shifts, including days, sleepovers, weekends, and unsociable hours
- An understanding of therapeutic interventions and positive behaviour support approaches
