AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Relief Social Care Assistants to support established Intellectual Disability Services across Wicklow and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities within residential and day service settings. Successful candidates will play a key role in promoting independence, social inclusion, personal development, and community participation while delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and outcomes identified within their support plans
- Assist with daily programmes, activities, and community-based initiatives
- Promote independence, social inclusion, and skill development
- Support individuals with personal care and activities of daily living where required
- Work positively with individuals who may present with behaviours that challenge
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational requirements
- Adhere to HIQA regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best practice guidelines
- Work collaboratively with the Person in Charge, Social Care Workers, and wider multidisciplinary teams
Essential Requirements
- Full QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Community Care, Nursing Studies, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 months` experience within disability, healthcare, residential, or social care settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours and service needs
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport, as travel between services may be required
- Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland. Sponsorship is not available for this role
- Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting
