AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Social Care Workers for a children`s residential service based in Dundrum, Co. Tipperary.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and CORU-registered Social Care Workers who are passionate about supporting children and young people within a therapeutic, trauma-informed residential environment. You will work as part of an experienced care team, providing consistent, compassionate and child-centred support while helping young people develop independence, life skills and positive relationships.
Applicants must be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker to be considered for this position. Applications from candidates who are not currently CORU registered cannot be progressed.
What You`ll Do
- Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support individual Placement Plans and Crisis Management Plans.
- Assist young people with education, daily living skills and personal development.
- Support young people with emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
- Promote a safe, supportive and homely residential environment.
- Work in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and HIQA standards.
Essential Requirements
- Current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker essential.
- A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or an appropriate relevant qualification.
- Relevant experience working with children or young people.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- Experience in residential care or a similar environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care, attachment and child development.
- A full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
