AA Euro Healthcare is currently welcoming applications from experienced Relief Social Care Workers to support our HSE client within Intellectual Disability day and residential services in Wicklow and surrounding areas.
About the Role
As a Social Care Worker, you will play a key leadership role in supporting service users and guiding care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will work closely with the Person in Charge to ensure services are delivered in line with best practice, HIQA standards, and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Social Care qualification minimum QQI Level 7 (or equivalent)
- Medication management experience is essential
- Eligible to work in Ireland (only candidates with a current valid work visa will be considered)
- Must have a clean Full driving licence and access to a car.
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a healthcare or disability setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience with individuals with challenging behaviour and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work positively and constructively with young adults who may present with challenging behaviour
- Provide leadership and support to care staff, promoting best practice
- Support the Person in Charge in delivering a high-quality service
- Deliver and oversee personal care, including assistance with daily living activities
- Ensure medication management is carried out safely and in line with policies
- Promote and maintain the health, safety, and welfare of service users and staff
- Ensure all safety procedures and safeguarding measures are implemented.
