AA Euro Healthcare are recruiting dedicated, experienced (Relief) Social Care Workers for a relief role with our well established clients in Thomastown & Callen, Co. Kilkenny. You would be working in residential settings specifically focused on Intellectual Disability services.
This role demands exceptional empathy and dedication to residents, prioritizing their welfare and wellbeing above all else. A high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality regarding residents and staff is essential.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.
- Have 1 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
- An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
Your main responsibilities will include
- To facilitate and implement a person-centered approach for Clients appropriate to their wishes and goals
- To promote and protect the rights of people in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy
- To ensure the overall wellbeing of clients in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
- To assist in the teaching of life skills
